“On the Land, The People Here” explores the profound entanglement between land and people. Land is not only the ground on which life depends, but also a vessel of cultural memory, identity, and social transformation. It carries nostalgia, and holds the traces of time. In an age of constant change, how do people remain connected to the land? And how does the land quietly bear witness to transformation?
Through photography, the project seeks to reveal the tension and intimacy between human beings and the earth. We come from the land and eventually return to it, becoming dust. Each person is as small as a speck of dust, yet inseparable from the soil, a part of its endless cycle. Amid modernization, urbanization, and globalization, these forgotten or silenced landscapes remind us of the fragile but enduring bond between humanity and the land.
